Akūpāra (uh-koo-pär-uh)

Origin: Hindu

Ancient and Wise, the Akūpāra balances the earth on is back. It's also referred as the Kurma (tourtoise in sanskrit) or Kurmaraja. A similar image of the World supporting the world on it's shell also appears in Chinese and Native American myths.
